These are guidelines, not guarantees. Every kiln fires a little differently, so test a small run first when the result matters and follow a casting schedule suited to your glass and kiln.

• Prime all three cavities with ZYP Boron Nitride Mold Primer or Hotline Primo Primer before every firing. Let the primer dry completely before adding glass.
• Fill the cavities with frit, fine powders, or casting glass. Use the per-cavity fill weights as a starting point: 25 grams for the Lotus, 22 grams for the Poppy, and 20 grams for the Rose.
• The mold is COE agnostic. Use a firing schedule matched to your glass and adjust the anneal soak for your COE.
• Let the kiln cool to room temperature before removing the cast pieces. Re-prime the mold before each subsequent firing.

Colour de Verre Suggested Firing Schedule

This is a suggested starting schedule, not a guarantee. Every kiln fires differently. Follow the Colour de Verre project sheet for this mold and test a small run first.

• Heat no faster than about 350 F (195 C) per hour.
• Fire to no more than about 1450 F (785 C).
• Add a controlled cool and hold an anneal soak suited to your glass: about 950 F for COE96, or about 900 F for COE90.
• Allow the kiln to reach room temperature before opening and removing the cast pieces.
