Amazon Opalescent Dots COE96

Amazon Opalescent dots are a bright, leafy green with no blue in it, the color of new growth in full sun. The slices are dense and opaque, and the color is even from dot to dot with a light satin sheen on the cut faces.

Cut from 6 mm cane at about 2 to 3 mm thick, these dots sit low on the glass and fuse in quickly. They are COE96 and belong with COE96 glass only; a dot of the wrong coefficient can crack its surroundings long after the kiln has cooled. Use this green wherever a leaf needs to stay green regardless of the base: lily pads, vines, frog eyes, or a fresh polka field on white.

How does Amazon green behave over a base?
Fully opaque, so it holds its own color on any base. Over black it fires to a crisp, punchy green; over white it looks almost the same because none of the base shows through. That makes it reliable for leaves, frog and lizard eyes, lily pads and bright polka fields where you need the green to stay green.
