Keep your base, frit, stringer, and accents on the COE96 system and never mix in COE90 pieces in one firing. Tack fuse to keep a pepper or a pumpkin raised; full fuse for a flat, wipeable surface on trivets and plates. Lay each precut glossy side up, clean it first, and add seeds, stems, and highlights with frit or stringer before the final fire. Test a new base color on a scrap before committing a full platter.
