Frit balls are tiny spheres of fused COE96 glass, roughly 3mm to 6mm across, used to add round dots to fused glass without cutting or nipping. Ours are sold by the half ounce, with roughly 100 to 130 balls per bag.
The range covers workhorse neutrals and a spread of color: White, Black, Blue Topaz, Dark Blue, Medium Blue, Riviera Blue, Lime, Fern Green Opalescent, Pastel Green, Light Purple, Chestnut, and Alpine. All are COE96 and fire with COE96 compatible sheet glass and frit.
At tack fuse temperatures frit balls tend to keep their raised, rounded profile; at a full fuse they settle into smooth domed dots. Place them with tweezers and a dab of fusing glue to hold position while you load the kiln. These are COE96 only; do not mix them with COE90 glass in the same project.
