COE90 Dichroic Scrap

Scrap packs are the most economical way to work with dichroic glass. Every bag is a random mix of CBS Dichroic offcuts in assorted colors, sold by weight, and because most dichroic projects start with small pieces, scrap is often all a jewelry maker needs.

What's in this category at AGS

  • CBS Dichroic scrap by weight, with a choice of coating on black glass, on clear glass, or a mix of both.
  • Crinklized dichroic scrap, a textured surface that scatters light for extra sparkle.
  • Thin glass only scrap, handy where you want to layer or cap without building excess thickness.
  • Specialty scrap on Bullseye glass styles, in 4oz packs.

The standard scrap packs on black or clear come in 1oz, 8oz, and 1lb weights; the mixed black-and-clear option comes by the pound.

Choosing scrap

Scrap on black reads as saturated mirror-bright color and is the classic choice for pendants and cabochons. Scrap on clear flashes color at some angles and passes light at others, which suits suncatchers and layered work. Thin scrap stacks cleanly under a clear cap.

Working notes

Everything here is COE90, so combine it with COE90 base glass only. Pieces are random in size, shape, and color mix, which is part of the value: mosaic artists, jewelry makers, and anyone doing small accent work can pull exactly the piece a design needs.
