COE90 Glass Flowers

COE90 Flowers & Botanicals gathers every plant-based shape in our COE90 precut line: flower heads, leaves, trees and the odd cactus, mushroom, shamrock and pumpkin. What the category holds

Flowers include the Passion Flower, which is the most ordered shape here, a Daisy, a Black-eyed Susan, a red Rosebud, a Poinsettia and a plain five-petal flower stocked in Blue, Orange, Yellow and Turquoise Blue Opalescent. Leaves cover Maple Leaves, Oak Leaves, Green Leaves in small and large packs of 3, and four takes on holly: Aventurine Green, Dark Green, Light Green and a Holly Leaf Cluster. Trees run from a Palm Tree to a Slim Tree in Dark Green or Spring Green, a fuller Tree in Dark Green or Light Green, and Christmas White Trees in a large single and a small pack of 3. Rounding it out are a Cactus and a Cactus with Flower, a Mushroom, a single Shamrock and a Mini Shamrock pack of 3, and Pumpkins in oblong and round outlines.

Choosing colors and sizes

Many shapes are listed in more than one color; the option list across the category includes Amber, Yellow, Green, Orange, Red, Pink, White, Turquoise Blue, Butterscotch Brown, Marigold Yellow, Tangerine Orange, Ivory Iridized, Amber/White, Aventurine Green Semi Transparent and Light Green Transparent. Autumn leaves are where the ambers, browns and tangerines live; holly and trees stay in the greens. Most shapes come in packs of 3, smaller shapes in packs of 5, and several are offered in small, medium and large so a leaf can match the scale of the flower next to it. Pick opalescent colors for a shape that reads on its own and the transparent greens when you want the base color to show through the leaf.

COE90 compatibility and firing

All of these shapes are COE90 and are formulated to fuse with other compatible glass in the COE90 family. Keep the base, the shapes and any cap inside the one COE system; a matching number between brands is not a promise of compatibility, so test a new pairing on a scrap tile first. Petals and leaf tips are the thinnest parts of these outlines, so a tack fuse keeps the edge detail and a full fuse rounds it off; fire a test if the detail matters to the design.

What fusers make with them

Flower heads sit on plates, sun catchers and garden stakes, with a small circle from Circles & Essential Shapes as the center. Holly leaves and the Christmas trees build wreath rings and ornaments, and pair with the Seasonal & Holiday Shapes.
