Dichroic embellishments let you add flashes of color-shifting dichroic to your work without committing to full sheets. This category collects specialty products from CBS Dichroic Glass, including Dichroic Extract, glow pigments, and dichroic coated copper foil, alongside the popular Dicro Slide decal paper.

What's in this category at AGS

• CBS Dichroic Extract in solid colors such as Emerald, Cyan/ Copper, and Red/ Silver, plus Rainbow and Splinter Rainbow patterns and sample sets. Extract has no COE, so it can be used much like metal leaf or powder in fusing, flameworking, glass blowing, and painting.
• Dicro Slide decal paper in combinations like Blue/ Gold, Green/ Pink, Red/ Silver, and Rainbow. This paper carries the same dichroic coating found on dichroic glass and transfers it to glass or ceramics.
• CBS glow pigments in Aqua, Blue, and Yellow, made in partnership with Earth Glow. These are 100 percent glow pigment with no glass powders or fillers, and they work with any COE, from fusing and casting to lampwork and borosilicate.
• CBS dichroic coated copper foil for hot glass work, with a heavy silver rainbow coating that releases onto molten glass at the marver.

Choosing dichroic embellishments

Because Extract, Dicro Slide, and coated copper foil are not COE specific, they can be used on COE90 or COE96 projects alike. That makes them an easy way to bring dichroic color into any studio without matching a sheet to your glass system.

Usage notes

Dicro Slide cuts cleanly with scissors, paper punches, or a craft knife, and fires to 1500F or higher. Try layering it or cutting thin twisted strips for woven effects. As with any new material, test fire a small sample before committing it to a large piece.
