Streaky frit blends colors within the same jar, giving you crushed glass that already carries built-in color movement before it reaches the kiln. This category collects Bullseye COE90 streaky frit blends in opal and aventurine pairings, ready for fused projects that need natural variation without hand-mixing separate colors.

What streaky frit is

Each jar holds granules of more than one glass color blended together rather than uniform color throughout. When you sprinkle, pack, or pile the frit, the colors land side by side and partially fuse, producing veined, marbled, or cloudy effects in the finished piece. Streaky blends are a shortcut to organic color depth that would otherwise take stacked layers of single-color frit to build up.

What's in this category at AGS

The streaky blends here are all Bullseye Glass COE90, in pairings such as Caribbean Blue with White Opal, Mint Green Opal with Aventurine Green, and White Opal with Dark Brown. For single-color granules, fine through coarse sizing, and powders, browse the broader COE90 Frit selection at AGS.

Choosing the right blend

Pick by the color story you want in the kiln: ocean and sky tones from Caribbean Blue with White Opal, garden and foliage tones from the mint and aventurine pairing, or earthy contrast from white with dark brown. Aventurine grains carry copper sparkle, so blends that include them finish with subtle glint where the dark color lands. Keep every component COE90 when mixing in additional frit, stringer, sheet, or rod so the whole piece moves together through heat-up and anneal.

Firing and use

Streaky frit fires on standard Bullseye COE90 schedules. Sprinkle it as accents on a clear or opal base, pack it into open-face molds, build pattern bars, or use it for pate de verre and frit casting. With aventurine blends, hold a slower approach to peak temperature and avoid overfiring so the copper crystals stay visible rather than dissolving into the glass.
