Choosing black or clear base

On a black base the dichroic color reads at full intensity, a bright metallic line against dark glass. On a clear base the strip both reflects color and lets light through, so the line shifts between a color flash and a transparent shimmer as the viewing angle changes.

Usage notes

Use stringers for fine lines, grids, and lettering, and firestrips for borders, waves, and stronger strokes of color. These are COE96 accents, so pair them with COE96 base glass only. A clear cap over the dichroic surface deepens the color and protects it at a full fuse, while leaving it uncapped keeps the brightest mirror-like finish.
