Firing and use

Many dichroic projects use a clear cap to protect the coated face and deepen the color shift, but uncapped and coated-side-down approaches can also be useful depending on the project. Handle the coated face carefully and follow the product or manufacturer guidance for cutting, orientation, and capping.
