Hot Shot Kilns is our selection of glass kilns from Hot Shot, sized for fusing, slumping, tack fusing, and small casting work. The lineup spans compact starter units through larger Creativity Pro models, plus specialty 7G configurations for vitrigraph pulling and wax burnout. These kilns suit home studios, classrooms, and tighter professional spaces where a full-size production kiln won't fit.
The Hot Shot range here includes the Starter Glass Kiln (HS-12G), the Creativity Pro Glass Kiln in HS-16G and HS-24G chamber sizes, and the 10x10x12 inch HS-1200G. The 7G platform appears as a standard base model (HS-7G), a vitrigraph configuration (HS-7GV) for pulling stringers and shapes, and a wax burnout variant (HS-7GW) for lost-wax casting workflows.
Match the kiln to the largest piece you plan to fire and your available power. The Starter HS-12G suits jewelry, small fused tiles, and pendants in a small footprint. The Creativity Pro HS-16G handles bigger fused panels and slumped dishes, while the HS-24G gives more room for platters, larger molds, and multi-piece loads. The HS-1200G's taller chamber accepts deeper slump and casting molds that won't clear shorter lids.
The HS-7GV vitrigraph kiln is set up to draw molten glass through a port so you can pull your own stringers, murrini canes, and organic shapes from compatible scrap. The HS-7GW wax burnout kiln is configured for venting wax out of investment molds before you cast glass into them. Choose these only if vitrigraph or lost-wax casting is part of your workflow; the standard HS-7G covers regular fusing in the same compact footprint.
These kilns can be programmed for System 96, Bullseye COE90, or float/window-glass projects when the schedule is matched to that glass. Keep each project within one tested-compatible glass family. Use them for full fuse, tack fuse, slumping into ceramic or steel molds, fire polishing, and small kiln casting. Before ordering, confirm your outlet voltage and amperage against the model's specs and plan for a heat-safe surface with clearance on all sides for venting and loading.
