COE90

COE90 refers to glass with a coefficient of expansion of 90, a compatibility system used in fusing and kiln work. Glass labeled COE90 is made to be fused with other COE90 glass so the pieces expand and contract together in the kiln. This section brings together our COE90 glass and related products.

What COE means

Coefficient of expansion, or COE, describes how much a glass expands as it heats. For a fused piece to survive firing without stress cracks, the glasses you combine should share the same COE. COE90 and COE96 are the two most common systems, and they are not mixed with each other.
