Arrows Decal Sheet

This sheet carries a generous assortment of arrow motifs printed in warm gold metallic. These are water-slide fusible decals: soak a cut decal briefly, slide it off its backing onto clean pre-fired glass, smooth away trapped water and air from the center outward, let it dry completely, then fire. The gold design bonds to the fired surface rather than fusing as a glass layer, so it works with any COE glass on pendants, tiles, platters, and panels.

What do the arrow designs look like?
A variety of gold metallic arrows: single arrows with feathered fletching, minimal thin-shaft arrows, crossed pairs, patterned shafts, and a curling decorative arrow, spanning spare to ornate.

How do I apply a water-slide decal?
Start with clean, fully pre-fired glass. Soak the cut decal about 30 seconds until it releases, slide it onto the glass, position it, and press out water and air from the center outward. Let the piece dry thoroughly before firing.

Are these compatible with my COE glass?
Yes. These decals are applied on top of already-fired glass and bond to the surface during firing rather than fusing within the glass, so there is no COE compatibility concern.

Can I use these on finished fused pieces?
Yes. They are designed for smooth, pre-fired kiln-formed surfaces such as pendants, tiles, platters, and panels. The smoother the base, the flatter the decal lies during firing.

Working Notes

Because these are gold metallic decals, firing temperature and hold time matter; metallic decals are sensitive to excess heat and can go dull or uneven if fired too hot or too fast, so target the lower end of the range with care. Keep the glass free of oils and fingerprints before applying, and let each decal dry fully before firing. Every kiln fires differently, so test a small piece first, keep a firing log, and anneal for the thickness of your glass.

Suggested Firing Schedule (the manufacturer's recommendation, a starting point only): Firing range is roughly 1240 to 1370 degrees F; these designs fire toward the lower end to preserve density. This is a suggested starting point, not a guarantee of results. Every kiln fires differently, so test a small piece first and anneal for the thickness of your glass. Ventilate the kiln well up to 1000 degrees and fire slowly below 500 degrees.
50 DPH to 185 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 20 min.
150 DPH to 300 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 15 min.
250 DPH to 500 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 15 min.
600 DPH to 1000 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 10 min.
Then to 1240 to 1370 degrees F, HOLD/SOAK 10 min.
Anneal for the thickness of the glass.
