Assorted Halloween Murrini/ Millefiore COE96

This Halloween assortment blends classic holiday motifs in a single jar: white skulls on black, black spiders on green, black bat silhouettes on orange, and black cat faces marked with green eyes. Everything arrives in the signature palette of black, orange, and green, and the mix also includes a few edge on cane pieces in those same colors. The balance of motifs varies from jar to jar.

Murrini, also called millefiori, are small cross-section slices of patterned glass cane, and each slice shows the image of the cane it was cut from. Rated COE96, they are placed on the surface of a fused glass project and fired in, adding color and motif to jewelry, plates, suncatchers, dishes, and ornaments.

What glass do I need to fuse these with?
These murrini are COE96. Combine them only with glass of the same COE. Mixing coefficients of expansion builds stress into the piece and can cause cracking during or after firing.

Sold as a jar of assorted slices; sizes, counts, and the blend of Halloween motifs vary between jars. The mix of smaller and larger slices gives you fine detail accents and focal pieces from the same jar.

How do I use these in a fused glass project?
Arrange individual slices pattern side up on the surface of your base glass, then fire. They are surface accents, not a base layer, so a skull, spider, bat, or cat slice can anchor a composition as a focal point or repeat as scattered detail across Halloween ornaments, pendants, dishes, and tiles.

Working Notes

A full fuse melts the slices flat and flush with the surrounding glass for a smooth, integrated surface. A tack fuse stops at a lower peak, leaving the slices slightly raised with more defined edges. Fire a small test piece first, since kiln behavior, glass thickness, and layout all shift results.
