A full fuse melts the murrini flat and flush, softening the motifs into the surrounding glass for a smooth finish. A tack fuse, fired at a lower top temperature, keeps the slices raised and dimensional so the holiday imagery stays sharp and slightly lifted. Test a small sample before a full firing run, since kiln characteristics, glass thickness, and your COE96 base glass all affect how the murrini settle.
