This assorted pack brings together several spooky-night motifs in a shared palette of deep cobalt blue, white, and warm brown. Round slices show a brown owl with golden eyes on a pale center ringed in blue, a white cat silhouette floating against a swirling midnight-blue ground with faint star-like wisps, and a white crescent moon with a curving swirl accent on a deep blue field. Together the designs form a cohesive nocturnal theme suited to Halloween ornaments, celestial jewelry, suncatchers, or any fused piece that wants a night-sky character.
Murrini, also called millefiore, are small cross-section slices of patterned glass cane. To use them, place individual slices on the surface of a COE90 base glass project and fire them so they fuse in. They serve as decorative accents on plates, dishes, jewelry, pendants, suncatchers, and ornaments.
What motifs are in this assortment?
Several designs: a brown owl with golden eyes on a pale-and-blue ground; a white cat silhouette on a swirling midnight-blue background; and a white crescent moon with a curving swirl accent on a deep blue field. All share a deep-blue-and-white palette. The mix of designs can vary from pack to pack.
What COE glass do I use with these murrini?
These are COE90 murrini. Combine them only with glass of the same COE. Mixing glass of different expansion rates can cause stress, cracking, or breakage during or after firing.
How are these murrini sold?
Sold by the pack as an assortment. Slice sizes, counts, and the exact mix of motifs vary from pack to pack.
How do I use these slices in a fused glass project?
Arrange individual slices on the surface of your COE90 base glass before loading the kiln. A full fuse melts them flat and flush with the surrounding glass for a smooth finish; a tack fuse stops short of full flow, leaving the slices raised and giving the motifs a relief-like quality.

Working Notes
Firing depth shapes the result. A full fuse takes the kiln to a temperature where the murrini flow completely into the base glass for a flat, smooth surface with the design embedded flush. A tack fuse uses a lower peak or shorter hold so the slices keep some thickness and the owl, cat, and crescent moon designs stay slightly raised. Fire a small test sample first, since kiln behavior varies with equipment, glass thickness, and the COE90 system you are working with.
