Tomato red and steel blue set the pitch in this Berry mix, with pale fuchsia and a greyed lilac filling the space between them. The fuchsia pieces are transparent and read soft pink where they lie singly, deepening wherever they overlap. Red and blue stay solid and carry the contrast.
Scattered over white or clear the mix reads like berry punch; over black the lilac and blue sink back and the red steps forward. The lilac is the quietest color in the set and tends to disappear into the fuchsia unless it lands on a light ground.
Stringfetti is confetti sized bits of glass stringer, sold by the bag at about half an ounce, and because stringer is thin the bits give a fine linear mark rather than the granular look of frit. Tipped out by the pinch they land as a loose scribble; placed with tweezers they become deliberate strokes.
Rated COE90 and made from Bullseye glass, it belongs only with other COE90 glass. A light scatter suits pendants, dishes and pale panels that want a fruit toned lift.
