How do I apply a water-slide decal?
Cut the decal from the sheet, soak it in clean water for 30 to 60 seconds until the paper backing releases, then slide it onto your clean pre-fired glass surface. Use a soft squeegee or your fingertip to smooth out water and air bubbles from the center outward. Let the piece dry completely before loading it into the kiln.

Can I combine these with other decals on one piece?
Yes. Multiple decals can be positioned on the same piece as long as each one is smoothed flat and fully dry before firing. Confirm that all decals on the piece share a compatible firing range before loading the kiln.

Working Notes

Apply decals only to clean, fully pre-fired glass. Any oil or residue on the surface can prevent adhesion and cause lifting during firing. After sliding the decal into position, work from the center outward to remove all trapped water and air. Allow the piece to dry thoroughly before firing, ideally overnight. The metallic gold finish on this sheet performs best kept toward the lower end of the firing range to preserve density.

Suggested Firing Schedule (a suggested starting point only, not a guarantee of results): Final firing temperature is roughly 1240 to 1370 degrees, held about 10 minutes and kept toward the lower end to preserve density. Ventilate the kiln well up to 1000 degrees and fire slowly below 500 degrees.
50 DPH to 185 degrees, HOLD/SOAK 20 min.
150 DPH to 300 degrees, HOLD/SOAK 15 min.
250 DPH to 500 degrees, HOLD/SOAK 15 min.
600 DPH to 1000 degrees, HOLD/SOAK 10 min.
Then advance to 1240 to 1370 degrees, HOLD/SOAK 10 min.
Anneal for the thickness of your glass. Every kiln fires differently, so test a small piece first.
