Black Opalescent dots for COE96 are a deep black with a faint charcoal sheen on the cut faces, and in strong light a few slices show a hint of gray at the very edge. The pile is glossy and even, with sharp white highlights where the flat faces catch the light.
Sliced from 6 mm cane, about 2 to 3 mm thick, these dots are COE96 and pair only with COE96 glass. Mixing coefficients builds stress into a fired piece. Stack a black dot on a white one for an eye, run them along the edge of a cobalt dish for a graphic border, or scatter them on a yellow base for a bumblebee or a dalmatian.
