Bullseye Burnt Orange (style 000329) is a 90 COE fusible glass sheet, an opalescent color for fusing, slumping, and kilnforming. As a striking color, Burnt Orange may not reach its final shade until it is fired.
Cold characteristics Opalescent. Slight small mottle and orange-peel texture.
Working notes At full fuse and capped with clear glass, the mottling may remain but become faint in transmitted light. Lighter wisps may appear in reflected light. When uncapped, the mottling tends to even out and the color becomes more consistent and even. This style is not suitable for kilncasting because it can become incompatible when held at high temperatures for an extended period. It may also become incompatible in instances where processes exceed the parameters of the test for compatibility. Testing recommended when heatwork exceeds these parameters.
Reactions This is a reactive glass. It contains Sulfur (S) / Selenium (Se) and may react where it meets Copper (Cu), Lead (Pb), and Silver (Ag), forming a visible line or halo at the boundary. Use that on purpose to outline and add depth, or keep reactive colors apart to avoid it.
Format and sizes Thin-rolled sheet, 2mm, with a rolled edge. The thinner sheet is ideal for overlays, fine detail, and controlling stack thickness. Available in the sizes shown above.
Fusing and compatibility Tested compatible with other Bullseye glass. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
