Canary Yellow Opalescent Frit Balls COE90

Bright lemon yellow, fully opaque and glossy, with a few balls running a touch paler or greener than their neighbors. That range, from pastel to full strength yellow, is typical of this color in its cold state.

A frit ball is glass frit fired into a bead of about 3 to 6 mm, a round dot ready to place. The glass is Bullseye 000120 Canary Yellow Opalescent, a COE90 sulfur color for Bullseye and other tested COE90 glass. About 100 to 130 balls make up each half ounce bag. Yellow dots over deep cobalt give strong contrast; on white they read as a soft pastel.

Is Canary Yellow reactive?
Yes. Bullseye says this sulfur glass may react with lead and copper glasses to create a dark interface line, so a yellow ball on Turquoise Blue fires with a dark ring that looks drawn on; use that on purpose or keep to clean bases. It is listed as a striker with no published hold, and paler balls mature toward the full yellow on firing.
