The Aurora Borealis pattern washes the coating across the glass in soft moving bands, broad ripples of color that swell and thin like light spilling along a horizon. There is no hard edge, just a flowing field that the eye follows across the surface.
On the thin black base the aqua coating reads deep and saturated, the blue green standing bright against the dark. Being dichroic, that aqua does not stay one shade, cooling and warming as you tilt the glass and shifting through the band so the aurora seems to move on its own.
