The Stell Timepieces pattern fills the glass with clock and dial motifs, repeating circular faces and hand forms in a steady arrangement. The horological theme gives the surface a busy, detailed rhythm that holds together across the sheet. The Stell Timepieces design is the work of glass artist Chris Stell.
The Green/Magenta Blue coating shifts between a fresh green and a deep magenta blue as you turn the glass. Green leads at one angle, washing the clock faces, then magenta and blue take over the dial lines as the view changes.

What is CBS Dichroic glass?
Dichroic glass is known for showing different colors depending on light and viewing angle. Ancient examples include the Roman Lycurgus Cup, whose color shift came from tiny gold and silver particles within the glass. Modern art dichroic glass uses a different thin-film coating approach: very thin metal or metal-oxide layers on the glass surface reflect some wavelengths of light while allowing others to pass through. CBS Dichroic glass applies this coating over a base glass, and the coating is on one side only.
