Cobalt Blue Opalescent Frit Balls COE90

A clean medium cobalt, bright rather than navy, and the same shade on every ball. The surface is glossy and opaque, with a couple of larger balls showing a slightly flatter top.

Frit balls are fused glass beads of about 3 to 6 mm that fire in as dots, flower centers, fish eyes and pebbled texture. This color is Bullseye 000114 Cobalt Blue Opalescent; it is COE90 Bullseye glass and belongs only in tested COE90 layups. One half ounce bag holds around 100 to 130 balls. Over white it makes a strong nautical blue.

Does Cobalt Blue Opalescent shift when fired?
No. Bullseye lists 000114 as stable with no color shift and no strike, and no reactive ingredients, so it can touch copper, sulfur and lead bearing colors without a dark line forming. With nothing to plan around, it suits early experiments in how dots behave in the kiln. At a tack fuse the domes stay raised like beads, and a full fuse settles them into flush circles.
