Colored Seashells Decal Sheet

This sheet carries an assortment of seashell designs printed in teal-green with bright gold metallic detailing along ridges, whorls, and contour edges. The collection spans several distinct shell forms: fan-shaped scallops, elongated cone and auger shells, spiral conch and nautilus profiles, and rounded clam varieties. The gold lines define the structural character of each shell clearly, giving every design a well-articulated, dimensional look. The designs run at a small-to-medium scale that suits pendants, small tiles, coasters, and accent work on larger fused panels.

These are water-slide decals for application on pre-fired glass. Because the decal is applied to the surface and fired on top rather than fused as a compatible layer, no COE matching is required. Soak a decal in water until it releases from its paper backing, slide it into position on clean, fired glass, smooth out water and air bubbles with a soft tool or fingertip, allow the piece to dry fully, then fire according to the schedule below.

Will these work on my glass?
Yes. Because these decals are applied on top of pre-fired glass rather than fused as a compatible layer, no COE matching is required. Use them on any pre-fired glass.

Do these shells have a metallic finish?
Yes. The gold detailing is metallic, and this is a full-color sheet, so fire it in the 1275 to 1380 degree range and hold about ten minutes at peak.

Can I apply these to a piece I plan to slump afterward?
Yes, though the decal firing must be completed and the glass fully annealed before any additional heat work. Later firings may alter the decal finish, so test a small sample piece through your full firing sequence before committing finished work.

Working Notes

Apply decals only to clean, pre-fired glass. Soak each decal until it releases freely from its backing, then slide it onto the glass and work out trapped water and bubbles from the center outward using a soft squeegee or fingertip. Allow the piece to dry completely before placing it in the kiln. Because this is a full-color sheet, fire it in the 1275 to 1380 degree range for the best result. Test a small piece first and anneal for the thickness of your glass.

Suggested Firing Schedule (the manufacturer's recommendation, a starting point only):
This full-color sheet fires to a peak of 1275 to 1380 degrees, held about 10 minutes. Ventilate the kiln well up to 1000 degrees and fire slowly below 500 degrees.
50 DPH to 185 degrees, HOLD/SOAK 20 min.
150 DPH to 300 degrees, HOLD/SOAK 15 min.
250 DPH to 500 degrees, HOLD/SOAK 15 min.
600 DPH to 1000 degrees, HOLD/SOAK 10 min.
1000 DPH to 1275 to 1380 degrees, HOLD/SOAK 10 min.
Anneal for the thickness of your glass.
