Dark Amber Transparent Dots COE96

Dark Amber Transparent dots are a deep root-beer brown in the pile, glowing to a warm orange wherever light gets through a thin edge. Any handful shows the range: solid brown where the dots overlap, bright amber at the rims and on the thinner slices.

Cut from 6 mm cane at about 2 to 3 mm thick, these COE96 dots pair only with COE96 glass. Transparent dots like this one earn their keep on light bases. Tack fuse a few over white and each one reads as a drop of honey; line them along an autumn leaf for warm highlights, or use one as the eye on a brown owl over a cream base.

How does dark amber read on a base?
It is transparent, so the base decides the color. Over white or clear it fires to a warm honey amber with an orange glow; over black it goes nearly to brown-black and reads as shadow. Tack fused on a light base the dome catches light like a drop of syrup. Good for autumn leaves, tortoiseshell, beer and honey themes, and warm eyes on animals.
