Dark Blue Frit Balls COE96

Deep navy cobalt, transparent and heavily saturated, so the balls read almost black at the center with an intense blue glow at the edges; many of the larger ones carry a frosted, textured cap. Over a light base the color opens into a rich royal blue.

These rounded beads of fused glass frit measure about 3 to 6 mm, packed near 100 to 130 to the half ounce bag. Made of System 96 compatible glass at COE96, they fuse with tested COE96 glass alone. This is the deep water color: ocean floors, midnight skies and the dark end of a blue gradient.

How do I get the blue to show?
Put the balls over a light or clear base and stop at a tack fuse so light enters the dome from the side; a full fuse over white gives a flat, translucent deep blue dot, while a black base swallows the color entirely. Because the glass is so saturated, one ball does the work of a much larger dark accent.
