Soft pewter gray, opaque, with a faint mottle that leaves some balls a shade lighter or darker than the rest and a few of the larger tops lightly speckled. The overall effect is a cool neutral gray without blue or green in it.
Glass frit fused into round beads of about 3 to 6 mm, frit balls are dots you place instead of cut. This neutral is Bullseye 000136 Deco Gray Opalescent, a COE90 glass for tested COE90 work only, and Bullseye lists it as stable and non reactive with no strike, so the fired dot matches the bag. The half ounce bag counts out at roughly 100 to 130 balls.
Gray dots are the pebbles, stones and shadows of a design. Over white they read as river rock; over black they lighten to a silvery spot; scattered among white balls they build a quiet stone texture for a beach or path. Deco Gray also works as an eye or nose on animal pieces where black would be too hard.
