A deep, saturated cobalt on the edge of royal blue, opaque and identical from ball to ball, with a few larger ones showing slightly flattened, faintly textured tops. In dim light it approaches ink; in sun it is unmistakably blue, with no violet lean.
These beads of fused glass frit measure about 3 to 6 mm and fire onto a layup as ready dots. The glass is Bullseye 000147 Deep Cobalt Blue Opalescent, stable and non reactive with no strike. It is COE90 through and through, so give it only tested COE90 company. Half ounce bags hold about 100 to 130 balls.
Deep Cobalt dots hold their edge at a full fuse and give the strongest blue on white, cream or French Vanilla; on a black base they nearly vanish, so reserve them for light and mid tone backgrounds. Single large balls work as flower centers over yellow, and a scatter of mixed sizes reads as deep water in a seascape.
