Deep cobalt is the whole story of this cane: a transparent, saturated blue with a twisted ribbon inside that shows as lighter diagonal facets running the length of the rod. Where the twist turns toward the light it flashes pale blue and clear, and where it turns away it goes dark. The result is a single colour rod with a lot of depth.
Transparent cane behaves differently from opaque cane on a piece: on a clear base the colour glows with light behind it, and on a white base the blue reads deeper. This rod is COE90 and hand pulled from Bullseye glass, so pair it only with COE90 glass. It makes a strong line on white or French vanilla, a moody one on black, and stood on end a section shows a small round window of blue.
