Deep Gemstone is a pile of dark jewels. Near black chips of deep green, navy and charcoal make up the ground of the scatter, violet blue grains show through it like sapphire, and mossy green flecked grains carry a fine metallic glint you can spot right in the bag. Even unfired, the darker chips only show their color at thin broken edges.
The glint is aventurine: aventurine green and aventurine blue are both in the recipe, and aventurine glass holds tiny metallic particles that glitter within the grain. Some colors may not arrive at their target shade until fused. Lead bearing colors are included, worth noting if you track reactive combinations. It is a COE90 blend of Bullseye glass; fuse it only with COE90.
Each piece measures 2.7 to 5.2 mm, the coarse grade, and it is packaged in 4 oz and 8 oz bags. Suited to night skies, deep water, or geode and mineral studies.
