A medium leaf green, opaque and glossy, uniform across every ball with a slightly rounded, pebble like shape. It is a true mid green, neither yellow leaning nor blue leaning, the color of a fern frond in deep summer shade.
Each ball began as glass frit fired into a rounded bead of about 3 to 6 mm; expect around 100 to 130 per half ounce bag. COE96 only, made from System 96 compatible glass for tested COE96 layups. Leaves, buds, moss, grapes and frog spots are its work, reading as foliage over cream and as a clear green dot over black.
Fern Green holds a crisp edge at a full fuse and a neat dome at a tack fuse. Over a warm brown base the dots become leaves on a branch, and over a water blue they read as lily pads. Leave breathing room between balls that should stay separate, since close neighbors flow together at full fuse temperatures.
