This fusible decal sheet is printed entirely in metallic gold and holds a full assortment of flower designs, roughly thirty in all, across a wide range of botanical styles. The motifs include simple daisies with petals radiating from a central disc, layered roses and rosettes with concentric petal rings, full multi-petal chrysanthemum forms, heart-petal clover blooms, fine radiating sunbursts, and solid filled disc flowers. The mix of delicate outline shapes and bold solid shapes gives you both fine and heavy gold accents from a single sheet, well suited to jewelry-scale fused glass, pendants, ornaments, small dishes, or any piece where a metallic floral accent adds interest.
These are fusible glass decals, applied as water-slide transfers onto pre-fired glass and then kiln-fired to bond the image to the surface. Because the decal fires on top of already-fused glass rather than as a compatible glass layer, no COE matching is needed and the sheet works with glass of any COE. Soak a cut decal in clean, room-temperature water for 30 to 60 seconds until it slides freely from its paper backing, position it on clean, dry, pre-fired glass, and smooth trapped water and air outward from the center with a soft squeegee or your fingertip. Let the piece dry completely before loading the kiln.
Do these decals work with the COE glass I already have? Yes. Because the decal fires onto the surface of pre-fired glass rather than fusing as a compatible glass layer, no COE matching is needed. Clean, fully pre-fired glass of any COE accepts these decals.
How do I apply a water-slide decal from this sheet? Cut the decal away from the sheet and soak it in clean, room-temperature water for 30 to 60 seconds until it slides freely from its backing paper. Slide it into position on clean, dry, pre-fired glass, then smooth water and air outward from the center with a soft squeegee or fingertip. Let the piece dry completely before firing.
Are these flowers metallic, and does that change how I fire them? Yes, every flower on this sheet carries a metallic gold finish. This is a single-color sheet, so fire it toward the lower end of its range, roughly 1240 to 1370 degrees F, to keep the gold dense. The full suggested schedule is in the Working Notes below.

Apply decals only to glass that is clean and fully pre-fired. Oils, dust, or fingerprints interfere with adhesion and can cause lifting or bubbles during firing. Wipe the glass with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry first. Work one decal at a time to keep each pliable while positioning. Once a decal has dried on the glass, do not flex or reposition the piece before firing, as the dried film can crack.
Suggested Firing Schedule (a starting point only, not a guarantee of results): This is a single-color decal, so fire toward the lower end of its range to keep the image dense. Ventilate the kiln well up to 1000 degrees F and fire slowly below 500 degrees F. Every kiln fires differently, so test a small piece first and anneal for the thickness of your glass. 50 degrees per hour to 185 degrees F, hold 20 min. 150 degrees per hour to 300 degrees F, hold 15 min. 250 degrees per hour to 500 degrees F, hold 15 min. 600 degrees per hour to 1000 degrees F, hold 10 min. Then to 1240 to 1370 degrees F, hold about 10 min. Anneal for the thickness of your glass.
