Fossil Hunt could pass for river gravel. In the hand it reads as a neutral field: cream, ivory and soft white opal chips, cool slate grey grains among them, and amber brown transparents scattered through like bits of flint. No saturated color interrupts the stony spread. Each chip reads like a small stone, the opals matte and solid, the browns translucent with an amber depth where light enters. Because nothing in it is saturated, it sits comfortably beside almost any other COE90 glass on the worktable.
Sulfur bearing colors are present here, and sulfur can react where it meets copper bearing glass, so plan any pairing. This is Bullseye COE90 glass, so restrict its companions to COE90.
Grain size runs 2.7 to 5.2 mm, the coarse cut, bagged in 4 oz and 8 oz. Lay it down for sand and stone textures, a neutral ground under a focal piece, or the shoreline of a beach scene.
