Gold Purple Opalescent Frit Balls COE90

Lilac to violet, opaque, with real variation from ball to ball: some run a pinker mauve, a few show paler lavender patches, and the larger balls carry a soft mottle. Cold Gold Purple sheet reads as a deep royal blue with transparent areas, so the purple here is the struck color.

These beads of fused glass frit measure about 3 to 6 mm, with roughly 100 to 130 in a half ounce bag. As COE90 Bullseye glass it combines with tested COE90 glass, nothing else. The variation is the character of this color: over white the mottling reads like watercolor, and over black the lighter balls stand forward.

Does Gold Purple need a striking hold?
Bullseye lists 000334 as a striker that matures to purple on firing, often with mottles, streaks and blue hues remaining, and publishes no specific hold. These balls have already been fused once and show purple, so expect the purple to hold with the same mottled variation. The glass is lead bearing and may react with selenium and sulfur colors such as French Vanilla and Canary Yellow.
