Jade Green dots are a dark bottle green with paler jade veins running through many of the slices, and a pile of them looks like polished dark stone rather than paint. The veining keeps the deep color from reading as a flat dark.
Made from Bullseye glass and rated COE90, these dots are 2 to 3 mm slices of 6 mm cane and pair only with COE90 glass. The veining reads as stone once fired. Use them for leaves on a pale floral piece, as sea glass on a sand colored base, or as jade style beads on a black pendant where the lighter streaks catch the eye.
What does jade green look like fired? Opaque, so it holds as a solid deep green on black and shows its lighter veins most clearly on white. The streaking survives firing and gives a natural, mineral feel. It works for leaves, sea glass, jade and malachite style jewelry, and as the dark green in a mixed green palette.
