The Leaves Texture Fusing Tile from Creative Paradise imprints an autumn leaves pattern onto glass during a full fuse firing. The 12 inch by 12 inch ceramic tile carries the DT24 Autumn Leaves Texture design and fits a standard 12 inch square sheet of glass, with a diagonal of 17.25 inches to accommodate rounds or other shapes up to that span.
Place a double layer of fusible glass, with frit on top or between layers, directly onto the prepared tile surface and fire to full fuse. As the glass softens, it settles against the tile and picks up the leaf texture on its underside. Like all ceramic kiln tiles, this one is COE agnostic and reusable across many firings when primed and cared for properly.
What does the Leaves Texture Fusing Tile do? It imprints an autumn leaves pattern onto the underside of a fused glass piece. Place a double layer of sheet glass on the prepared tile, fire to full fuse, and the glass takes on the leaf texture where it contacts the tile surface.
How do I use the tile? Prime the tile surface, set a double layer of fusible sheet glass on top, add frit for color or design variation if desired, and fire according to the full fuse schedule for your glass. The leaf texture transfers to the glass as it softens and settles against the tile.
What COE glass can I use with this tile? Any COE. Ceramic kiln tiles are COE agnostic, so the same tile works with COE96, COE90, or other fusible glass. Match your firing schedule to the glass you are using.
How do I prep the tile before firing? Coat the tile surface with a kiln shelf primer such as a boron nitride spray or a kiln wash such as Hotline Primo Primer , and let it dry completely before placing glass on it. Re-coat as needed between firings.

Working Notes
These are guidelines, not guarantees. Every kiln fires a little differently, so test a small run first when the result matters and follow a fusing schedule suited to your glass and kiln.
Prime the tile surface with a boron nitride mold primer such as ZYP Boron Nitride Mold Primer , or a kiln wash, and let it dry completely before placing glass on it so the glass does not stick.
Place a double layer of fusible sheet glass directly on the prepared tile. Add frit on top or between layers for color and design variation.
The tile is COE agnostic. Use a full fuse schedule matched to your glass, adjusting the final anneal soak for your COE.
Let the kiln cool fully before removing the fused piece. Re-coat the tile with primer as needed between firings.
Creative Paradise Suggested Firing Schedule
This is a suggested COE96 starting schedule, not a guarantee. Every kiln fires differently. Test a small run and adjust the schedule for your glass and kiln.
Full Fuse (COE96):
Segment Rate Temp (F) Hold 1 275 1150 60 2 50 1300 20 3 350 1465 05 4 9999 950* 60
*Segment 4 is the anneal soak at 950 F for COE96. If using COE90, adjust this temperature to 900 F.
