Light Cyan Opalescent Frit Balls COE90

Sky blue with a touch of turquoise, opaque, and very slightly mottled: a few of the larger balls show a lighter, faintly textured cap while the small balls are a clean even blue.

Frit balls are glass frit fused into rounded beads of about 3 to 6 mm, packed by weight at one half ounce, roughly 100 to 130 per bag. It is COE90 Bullseye glass, for tested COE90 work only. This color is Bullseye 000216 Light Cyan Opalescent, a copper bearing opal; keep it off French Vanilla and the cadmium colors unless a reaction line is wanted.

Why does Bullseye mention gray clouding?
At slumping and low tack fuse temperatures, roughly 1150 to 1325 F, Light Cyan can develop gray clouding similar to Steel Blue, especially where oils or glass cleaner remain on the surface. The fix is to cap with clear, fire to a full fuse, or test first; clouding on an uncapped piece can be erased by capping with clear and refiring to a full fuse. At a full fuse the slight mottle disappears and the color fires even and pure, so buff each ball clean and dry before a tack fuse or slump.
