A clean, bright medium blue, opaque and uniform, every ball the same cornflower to cobalt shade with a glossy skin and a few larger ones flattened on top.
Frit balls are fused glass beads of about 3 to 6 mm, roughly 100 to 130 to the half ounce bag. It is COE96 glass, System 96 compatible, for tested COE96 projects only. Polka dots on plates, water and sky accents, flower centers over yellow and fish eyes are all within its range.
Over white it fires as a classic nautical blue, over pale green or cream it stands forward, and over very dark ground it reads as a bright accent. Medium Blue holds a crisp edge at a full fuse and a tidy dome at a tack fuse, so decide the profile before the kiln does. For eyes on birds and fish the mid tone value reads more natural than black, and single large balls anchor flower centers over yellow or cream.
