These are guidelines, not guarantees. Every kiln fires a little differently, so test a small run first when the result matters and follow a slumping schedule suited to your glass and kiln.
Prime the mold surface with a boron nitride mold primer such as ZYP Boron Nitride Mold Primer , or a kiln wash, and let it dry completely before placing the glass blank.
Fuse your glass blank in a separate firing first, then slump it over the mold. A double layer of glass, as used in the manufacturer's suggested schedule, gives the finished piece good body for everyday use as a spoon rest.
Center the prepared blank over the mold and fire to slumping temperature so the glass softens and drapes into the form by gravity.
