Night Light Slumping Mold

The GM22 Slim form measures 5.25 inches long by 3.5 inches wide by 1.25 inches tall, and the GM21 Wide form offers a broader profile for a different proportion of cover.

Like all ceramic slumping molds, both forms are COE agnostic, so they work with COE96, COE90, or any other fusible glass. Coat each form with a mold release before placing your pre-fused blank, fire a slump schedule, and the glass softens and takes the mold's shape. Both forms share the same two-segment suggested slump schedule and are reusable across many firings with proper care.

Working Notes

These are guidelines, not guarantees. Every kiln fires a little differently, so test a small run first when the result matters and follow a slumping schedule suited to your glass and kiln.

• Prime the surface of each form with a boron nitride mold primer such as ZYP Boron Nitride Mold Primer, or a kiln wash, and let it dry completely before placing your glass blank.
• Place a pre-cut and pre-fused glass blank over the prepared form. The glass softens during the slump firing and conforms to the mold's curved profile by gravity.
• Both the GM21 Wide and GM22 Slim forms use the same two-segment suggested slump schedule shown below.
• The molds are COE agnostic. Use a slump schedule matched to your glass, adjusting the anneal soak temperature for your COE.
• Let the kiln cool fully before removing the slumped pieces. Re-coat the mold surface with primer as needed between firings.
• The Slide Hi Temp brand separator is not recommended with these molds.

Creative Paradise Suggested Firing Schedule

This is a suggested COE96 starting schedule, not a guarantee. Every kiln fires differently. Test a small run and adjust the schedule for your glass and kiln.

Slump (COE96) - applies to both GM21 Wide and GM22 Slim:

*Segment 2 is the anneal soak at 950 F for COE96. If using COE90, adjust this temperature to 900 F.
