Oceanside Blue Yonder (style OGT603383CCF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a streaky blue and white pearl opalescent on the Corella surface.
Appearance
The sheet flows like moving water, mixing medium sky blue with white opal in soft, wispy swirls. Pale streaks drift across deeper blue so the color shifts from light to saturated. The Corella surface adds a pearly sheen, reading as a cloudy, semi-solid blue rather than a clear transparent.
Working notes
The pearly, streaky face carries the interest while the reverse is flatter. A full fuse relaxes it to gloss and softens the swirls, while a tack fuse holds more of the streaked movement. It sits as a cloudy blue field, ideal for sky, water, and soft-mottled backgrounds.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any other System 96 glass at 96 COE. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
