Oceanside Bronze Transparent (style 5181-96) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible glass in frit form, crushed transparent glass in a warm bronze.
Appearance
A warm transparent bronze, a soft tan-brown with a smoky amber cast. The crushed chips read pale and glassy at the edges and deepen to bronze-brown where they stack, catching plenty of light between the pieces.
Working notes
As a transparent the frit passes light and lets underlying color show through, so laid thin it tints softly like champagne and laid thick it deepens to bronze. A full fuse melts the chips into a smooth warm surface, while a lighter fuse keeps a sparkling granular texture. It works well as a warm overlay or shading tone.
Reactions

Using the frit
Frit is crushed glass sold in grades from fine to coarse for shading, blending, filling detail, and casting. Sprinkle it dry over a base, pack it into a mold, or blend grades for gradients.
Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with any other 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. When combining it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
