Oceanside Deep Aqua/White (style OGT83393SF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a deep aqua streaked with wispy white.
Appearance
A rich aqua-turquoise laced with soft white wisps that drift across the sheet like currents in water. The aqua is a transparent blue-green while the white streaks are opal, so light both passes through the aqua and catches on the pale wisps, and the whole reads like sunlit sea water.
Working notes
The wispy white is worked into the aqua, so the pattern holds through firing and reads differently across the sheet. A full fuse smooths the surface while keeping the movement, so cut with the wisps in mind.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any other 96 COE glass in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
