Oceanside Mariner Blue Opalescent (style OGT23375SF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a medium blue opalescent solid.
Appearance
A clean medium blue, a touch deeper than sky and even across the sheet. Opalescent and solid in color, with only soft shading where the surface catches light.
Working notes
Both faces are smooth, so it fires either side up. As an opal it sits opaque over light or dark backing. A full fuse levels the surface to a gloss; a tack fuse keeps stacked pieces raised.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
