Oceanside Meadowlark (style OGT606181CCF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a warm yellow pearl opalescent streaked with white and amber across a Corella textured sheet.
Appearance
A bright, warm yellow marbled with cloudy white and touches of gold amber that swirl through the color. As a pearl opalescent, the pale streaks catch the light against the sunny ground, and the Corella texture adds a soft rolling relief.
Working notes
The Corella texture sits on one face while the reverse is smoother. As an opalescent it reads as solid color, which works well as a base or bold field. A tack fuse keeps the surface movement and pearl sheen, and a full fuse brings it level and glossy. Being sulfur-bearing and rated high, it can react strongly against copper-bearing glass, as noted below.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Next to non-reactive colors it stays true. See the System 96 Reactive Color Chart for the colors it reacts with.
Format and sizes
It is sold as Corella texture sheet glass. Choose your size from the options on this page.
Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
