Oceanside Medium Green Waterglass (style OGT123WF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a transparent medium green in a rippled waterglass texture.
Appearance
The sheet is a clear medium green, bright and saturated where the light passes through and deeper where the surface texture gathers. One face carries the waterglass finish, a rolling ripple that looks like light moving across water. Held to a window the green stays transparent and even, with the ripple breaking the light into soft highlights.
Working notes
The waterglass ripple sits on one face while the reverse is flatter and smoother. A full fuse relaxes and softens the ripple as the glass moves toward flat, while a tack fuse keeps more of the surface texture intact. As a transparent it reads brightest over a light table or with light behind it, and it layers well over clear or lighter colors for depth.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated medium on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Next to non-reactive colors it stays true. See the System 96 Reactive Color Chart for the colors it reacts with.
Format and sizes
Sold as 3mm waterglass sheet glass. Choose your size from the options on this page.
Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
