Oceanside Pink Opalescent Frit (style 2902-96) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible frit, crushed soft pink opal glass for shading and accents.
Appearance
A soft light pink, opalescent and milky, an even pastel tone across the crushed grains, catching light on their broken faces.
Working notes
As an opal frit it reads as a solid soft pink rather than see-through. It melts smoother at a full fuse and keeps more grain texture at a tack fuse.
Reactions
This color is not on the System 96 reactive list, so it sits next to other colors without forming a reaction line. See the System 96 Reactive Color Chart for the colors that do react.
Using the frit
Frit is crushed glass in grades from fine powder to coarse chips. Sift a light layer for soft shading, blend grades for gradients, or pack it deeper for casting and surface texture.
Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
