Oceanside Ruby Red and Amber (style OGT45120WF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a transparent red and amber blend in a rippled Waterglass texture.
Appearance
Deep ruby red mixes with warm amber and orange, streaked with darker shadowed veins for a fiery, molten look. Being transparent, the reds and ambers glow when held to light. The Waterglass face carries a soft ripple that breaks up reflections.
Working notes
The ripple is on one face, the reverse smoother. Firing texture-side up keeps some ripple through a tack fuse; a full fuse relaxes it toward flat and glossy. It suits panels lit from behind, where the color glows strongest.
Reactions
This is a sulfur-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a copper-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Fuses cleanly with the rest of the System 96 line. With glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee a fit, so fire a test tile first.
