Oceanside Sierra Red Pearl (style OGT60585CCF) is System 96 tested-compatible 96 COE fusible sheet glass, a warm red and copper streaky opalescent on a pearly Corella surface.
Appearance
The sheet moves through warm coppery reds and rust browns wrapped in cream and white opal, with wispy, smoke-like swirls drifting across the surface. Cooler pale zones open up between the darker streaks so the color mixes rather than sitting flat. The Corella surface gives it a soft pearly sheen, and the color reads as a dense, milky field instead of a clear transparent.
Working notes
The pearly face carries the surface interest, while the reverse is flatter. A full fuse relaxes the surface toward smooth and gloss, and a tack fuse holds more of the original streak and texture. It sits as a solid color over light rather than passing light through, so it works well as a base layer or a warm field under other elements.
Reactions
This is a copper-bearing color, rated high on the System 96 reactive scale. Fused against a sulfur-bearing glass it can develop a reaction line or a shift in color where the two meet, an effect fusers use on purpose for shading and depth. Fusing and compatibility
Tested compatible with other System 96 glass, so it fuses cleanly with any 96 COE product in the System 96 family. When you combine it with glass from other makers, matching COE alone does not guarantee compatibility, so fire a small test tile first.
